Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Dutton Estate is impressive. It opens with a very fragrant black cherry and dark chocolate bouquet with hints of pomegranate and blackberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a tasty stewed black plum and blackberry blend with notes of clove and stone dust. I also detected hints of mocha, black pepper, and black cherry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and moderate tannins are nicely extended. I would pair this Pinot with Lucia's Manzo Brasato con Funghi, which is fork tender slow braised beef, shallot, carrot, garlic & burgundy mushroom ragu tossed with rigatoni pasta. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Indulge your senses with this captivating Pinot Noir. Its enticing aroma reveals deep earthy notes, harmoniously intertwined with enchanting spices like clove and cinnamon. On the palate, succulent flavors of ripe cherry and blackberry elegantly dance alongside the warm embrace of baking spices. Delight is further amplified by a tantalizing hint of tartness, beautifully balancing the ensemble.
