Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from the Dutton Ranch opens with an oak influenced strawberry bouquet with a hint of red cherry and some earthiness. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, juicy and fruit forward. Those fruit flavors are a ripe plum with notes of mild minerality and strawberry licorice. I also detected a hint of pomegranate, cranberry and touch of vanilla oak towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This tasty Pinot is very food friendly and would pair nicely with skillet cooked boneless pork chops with mushrooms, shallots and thyme. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Karmen Isabella sparkles through the glass with a beautiful ruby red intensity. Aromas of a bright spring floral garden rushes through the nose with every hearty smell into the glass. Red cherry, raspberry and Santa Rosa plum are among the flavors that fill your mouth which is what you would expect from a Russian River Pinot Noir. The soft and silky tannins are long and lingering holding your attention until you pick up the feel of just enough acidity to provide balance and structure giving the Pinot great body.
