Wine Review: This dark red colored Cabernet Franc from the Lujan de Cuyo region in Argentina opens with a forest floor and cranberry bouquet with hints of oak and pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and savory. The flavor profile is black plum and stone dust blend with notes of black currant and tobacco. I also detected hints of mild black tea and black licorice. The finish is dry, and its flavors and dusty tannins are nicely extended. This Cab Franc really benefits from some aeration. I would decant it before pairing it with a pan-seared skirt steak. Enjoy – Ken
