Wine Review: This pale white gold colored Sauvignon Blanc from Duckhorn opens with a faint yellow grapefruit and lime zest bouquet and hints peach pit, gooseberry, and green apple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, soft and round. The flavor profile is a tasty chalky minerality and gentle grapefruit blend with notes of lime zest and honeydew melon. We also detected some hints of ginger, white peach, pineapple, and white pepper in the mix. The finish is dry and refreshing. The Tasting Panel would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with a grilled swordfish steak, crab cake sandwich, or spinach quiche. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The lush and alluring Sauvignon Blanc reveals aromas of lemon verbena, candied pineapple, lime, and summer melon. On the palate it is silky and mouth-filling, with refreshing acidity framing the tantalizing citrus and tropical fruit flavors while carrying the wine to a long, focused finish.
