Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford opens with a black currant and black licorice bouquet with hints of black olive, black coffee, and slate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The flavor profile is a ripe black plum and fig blend with notes of cedar and black currant. I also detected hints of tobacco, baking spice, green olive, and chocolate. The finish is dry, and its acidity and flavors linger and last for a while. This Cab would pair well with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2019 growing season produced a stunning expression of Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon, with luxurious aromas of brambly fruit, blueberry, blackberry, and black currant. As it evolves on the palate, lush red berry flavors emerge, as well as more savory notes and hints of rich milk chocolate. Framed by the dusty minerality that makes the Rutherford appellation famous, this age-worthy wine glides to a long, luscious finish.
