Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a black plum and black currant bouquet with hints of leather, red cherry, and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and velvety. The flavor profile is a tasty mild, yet ripe black currant and mocha blend with notes of cinnamon, black licorice, and black tea. We also detected hints of black pepper, graphite, and oak. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate and well-managed dusty tannins are nicely prolonged. The Tasting Panel would pair this versatile and food friendly Cab with New York strip steak or with garlic and rosemary lamb kabobs. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Beautifully rich and complex, this wine offers enticing aromas of huckleberry jam, black cherry, and cinnamon spice, with hints of bay leaf, maple, and violets. The lush dark berry and sweet baking spice notes are echoed on the palate, where the flavors are framed by a firm underlying structure and fine, dusty tannins that add depth and nuance to a long, robust finish.
