Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a black cherry, black currant, and mocha bouquet with hints of orange zest and pie crust. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, gentle and refined. The flavor profile is mild black cherry, mocha, and graphite blend with notes of black tea. We also detected hints of fig. The finish is dry and its well-managed tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with a chateaubriand. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Once again, this iconic vineyard has yielded a profound expression of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon offering complex aromas of berry cobbler, currant, black cherry, and fig, with underlying notes of graphite and orange zest. On the palate, the age-worthy tannins are firm and fine-grained, framing the wine's lush flavors of blackberry, wild black raspberry, and cranberry chutney, with hints of wet slate minerality and dried herbs emerging on the long, elegant finish.
