Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford opens with a boysenberry and crushed stone bouquet with hints of blueberry, black pepper, and leather. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is beautifully balanced, super smooth, delicate, and seamless. The flavor profile is delicious blend of black currant and graphite along with notes black cherry and blueberry. We also detected hints of black tea, black pepper, and oak in the mix. The finish is dry, and its well-managed dusty fine tannins build-up nicely and then drift away. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with a filet mignon with sauteed mushrooms, braised short ribs or with lamb lollipops. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This terroir-driven wine shows an intense array of wild blackberry, boysenberry, blueberry jam and dark chocolate aromas, as well as hints of wet slate, graham cracker and cardamom. On the palate, classic notes of dusty Rutherford minerality and beautifully balanced French oak frame both red and dark berry flavors, with notes of graphite, cracked pepper, caramel and black tea adding depth to a long, fruit-filled finish.
