Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Merlot was one of our top finishers in a recent blind tasting. It opens with a mild black cherry bouquet with hints of clove, toasty oak and black currant. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, polished and approachable. The flavor profile is a gentle mineral and cherry-vanilla blend with hints of cinnamon, black raspberry and oak. The finish is dry and its well-managed tannins are nicely prolonged. This Merlot is an option frequently found on many fine restaurant wine lists. The Panel suggested pairing it with a filet mignon or a veal chop. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our 2016 Napa Valley Merlot opens with inviting aromas of fresh black raspberry, vanilla, tea leaves, pie crust and licorice. On the palate, luxurious red-fruit flavors of strawberry, plum, Bing cherry and loganberry are supported by silky tannins and a bright, mouthwatering acidity that carries the wine to a lingering finish, with hints of maple, cedar and sweet spice.
