Wine Review: This impressive dark red colored Cabernet Sauvignon is very traditional in style. It opens with a mild black cherry and black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and very approachable. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry with notes of oak and black currant. I also detected a hint of plum. The finish is dry and its well managed tannins show nice length. This is a very food friendly Cab, that will be a great option to consider with a filet mignon at your favorite steak house restaurant. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Complex and compelling, this generous wine reflects the diversity of great Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. On the nose, vibrant layers of red and black fruit mingle with hints of violet, dried herbs, black licorice and graphite. The flavors echo the aromas, with lovely black currant and licorice elements supported by firm, impeccably balanced, tannins and an excellent structure. Good acidity helps to carry the juicy dark fruit notes through to a long, satisfying finish.
