Wine Review: This very nice Sauvignon Blanc from Decoy is pale yellow colored and opens with a wet stone and ripe lime bouquet with hints of pear and peach. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, and crisp. Yet also has a round mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a tangy lime with nicely integrated grapefruit. The finish is quite dry, lively and its flavors linger for quite some time. This Sauvignon Blanc is food friendly and the tasters thought it would pair well with blackened tuna (rare center) served with mango salsa or seared scallops over a bed of sautéed garlic spinach. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The bright, enticing nature of this wine is immediately apparent in the aromatics, where tropical notes of guava and passion fruit mingle with hints of fresh-cut grass and grapefruit blossom. On the palate, crisp green apple and pineapple flavors are supported by a touch of citrus zest, with uplifting acidity contributing length and poise to this lovely Sauvignon Blanc.
