Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot opens with a fragrant red raspberry bouquet with a hint of smoky oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, easy going and approachable. The flavor profile is a tasty red currant and black raspberry blend with hints of smoky oak. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are very well managed. This Pinot is very nice and affordable everyday Pinot. I would pair it with pork chops with apple sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Decoy Pinot Noir highlights a plush and approachable expression of Pinot Noir that is crafted to be ready upon release. The aromas offer enticing layers of Bing cherry, anise, cola, mint and oak-inspired vanilla. On the palate, the wine displays lovely weight and balance with rich and appealing layers of raspberry, fresh strawberry pie, Santa Rosa plum and morel mushroom, all underscored by a streak of acidity that carries the flavors to a long, satisfying finish.
