Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot from the Anderson Valley open with a musty strawberry like bouquet with a hint of cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and displays a wonderfully silky mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a mild plum and restrained black cherry with notes of oak and blackberry in the background. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins stick around for a while. Pair this young Pinot with a thick cut of prime rib or grilled pork tenderloin. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The product of a standout growing season the 2007 Migration is sleek and silky with enticing upfront aromatics and compelling dark fruit layers. The nose displays jasmine tea and flowering blackberries alongside dusty undertones of fresh chanterelles. These aromatics are echoed on the palate and accentuated by flavors of huckleberry boysenberry licorice plum white chocolate and orange blossom all leading to a cleansing medium-length finish.
