Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Dry Creek Vineyard opens with a faint lemon tea and mango bouquet with hints of banana, hibiscus, and pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, slightly viscous, and elegant. The flavor profile is a green apple and lemon-lime blend with notes of bosc pear, saline and green tea. We also detected hints of ginger and chalky minerality. The finish is dry, refined and refreshing. The Tasting Panel would then pair this Sauvignon Blanc with a broiled scallop appetizer or sushi. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Sauvignon Musqué is a unique clonal selection of the Sauvignon Blanc variety and a delicious interpretation of the classic varietal, crafted from a vineyard named after Taylor, Kim and Don Wallace's daughter. Fermented in stainless steel tanks, this vintage of Taylor’s Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc displays intense aromas of passionfruit, tangerine, and grapefruit with a hint of orange blossom. The palate showcases plump flavors of Meyer lemon, pineapple, and honeydew melon with subtle notes of cucumber and hibiscus. Full of complexity and depth, the Musqué clone exhibits the luxurious, creamy mouthfeel and texture of a balanced and elegant white wine, while stainless steel fermentation preserves the excellent structure and vibrant acidity.
