Wine Review: This pale yellow colored wine from Dry Creek is a classic California styled Chardonnay. It opens with lemon tart and pear like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is a full bodied, creamy and rich. The flavor profile is a buttery pear with notes of vanilla oak and apple. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. I would pair this very good Chard with chicken ravioli with light cream sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is an exciting new Chardonnay at Dry Creek Vineyard. From start to finish, this wine was handcrafted and nurtured every step of the way. To produce world class Chardonnay, it is essential to continually follow up and revisit fermentations. The devil is in the details. This beautiful wine presents aromas of toasty vanilla, pear, apple and creme brule notes. The palate is balanced and nuanced with all spice, nutmeg and toasted spice mingling with delicate fruit notes that offer a precise and focused flavor profile. The wine is juicy and delicious to drink from start to finish.
