Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay opens with an apple and oak like bouquet with hints of tangerine. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, crisp and lively for a Chard. The flavor profile is gentle pear with hints of faint oak, lemon and green apple. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity are nicely prolonged. This fresh Chard would pair well with roasted garlic chicken. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The cooler than normal 2011 vintage has produced a lively and elegant Chardonnay with aromas of kiwi, pineapple, and lime. Several minutes of airing give way to an underlying richness with papaya, apricot and citrus zest. The abundance of exotic fruit on the nose paves the way for a succulent palate experience. Caramelized fruit tart, creme brulee and exotic toasty notes are carefully incorporated with seamless acidity and minerality. Beautifully balanced, this Chardonnay comes together with fine structure and is a seamless experience from start to finish.
