Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Drew is a bit of a fruit bomb. It opens with a fragrant strawberry jam and oak bouquet with hints of raspberry and pencil shavings. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a ripe stewed plum and graphite blend with notes of black tea and hints of red raspberry and green pepper. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors linger nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Pinot with a turkey, cranberry and stuffing dinner. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This is our fifth release from the Drew Ranch on the far western coastal edge of the Mendocino Ridge. Exotic plums, black cherries, sage, fir tips and black truffle notes are signature on the palate and on the nose. We love the depth and purity of this sexy wine and the continual unfolding of layers. Just a beautiful vintage. Pair with a cassoulet or roast chicken.
