Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir opens with an interesting and unique apricot, golden raisin and cherry-cola bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and suave. The flavor profile is a tasty cherry and red plum blend with notes of orange tea. It also detected hints of mild oak, minerality and a touch of cinnamon. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This Pinot is very food friendly and would pair well with Theresa's cranberry-maple chicken. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is our second bottling from this 16 year old vineyard on the outer boundary of the Anderson Valley. Deep red cranberry and Asian plums along with orange zest and distinct quartz notes. This wine continues to unfold in the glass with wafts of forest mushrooms and penny royal. This is a bright exciting wine that is showing quite nicely right now but has the bones for some extended cellar time. Pair with roasted game birds or seared duck breast.
