Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from Drew was very popular with our mini-tasting group. It opens with a very attractive and fragrant strawberry bouquet with hints of smoky oak and cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a ripe red plum with notes of red raspberry. I also detected hints of cherry and oak in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This Pinot is food friendly and would pair nicely with pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The concept behind this wine is to showcase the Anderson Valley appellation. It is a bright red color. The nose has subtle aromas of freshly cut rose stems, cinnamon, vibrant red fruits, forest fungi, spice and mineral notes. This is a medium weight Pinot Noir with lifted red fruit, forest mushrooms, and red floral notes on the palate with subtle notes of cigar box and river stone minerality.
