Wine Review: This “Kabinett” Riesling from Dr. Pauly really impressed the Tasting Panel. It is almost clear in color with a very fragrant petrol bouquet with hints of wet stone and green apple. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, pleasantly sweet, syrupy and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a ginger and pineapple blend with notes of lime, peach tea and minerality. The finish remains sweet and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. The Panel really like this Riesling and suggested pairing it with shrimp pad Thai or swordfish skewers. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This Riesling is a refreshing white wine. Due to its individual slate stone notes, it is direct and complex at the same time. The aroma reminds of citrus fruits and rhubarb. The taste is well-balanced in natural sweetness and acidity. The finish is acid-driven and makes this Riesling easy to drink. It would pair nicely with spicy Asian cuisine. Try it with wok-fried rice and vegetables.
