Wine Review: This almost clear colored Riesling from Dr. Loosen opens with pretty floral bouquet featuring jasmine and Easter lily with hints of wet slate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. It is round and quite approachable. The flavor profile is green apple and light lemon blend with notes of stony minerality and white peach. We also detected hints of ginger and green tea. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. The Panel would pair this food friendly Riesling with steamed mussels or a grilled mahi-mahi sandwich. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Made from red slate estate vineyards found primarily in the south-facing stretch of river that encompasses the villages of Ürzig, Erden, Lösnich and Kinheim, this dry Riesling has an intense minerality that is warm and enveloping. It has floral, spicy, citrus blossom aromas and harmonious flavors with a full, expansive texture. Very expressive.
