Wine Review: This almost clear colored dry-styled Riesling from 130-year-old vines opens with a ginger and crushed oyster shell bouquet with a hint of pink grapefruit. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with nicely integrated medium acidity. It is delicate and nicely balanced. The flavor profile is a chalky mineral and unripe pineapple blend with notes of green tea and green apple. We also detected hints of lemon zest mixed in. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Panel would pair this sophisticated Riesling with baked Dover sole. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A heavenly, dry Riesling with forceful minerality from 100+-year-old vines grown in the blue slate soil of Graach. This limited-production wine was fermented with indigenous yeasts and kept in the barrel, on the full lees, for a year before bottling. The extended maturation time allows the wine to develop greater texture and a deeper natural harmony.
