Wine Review: This highly electric wine is a sleeper. Out of the gate, limestone and Granny Smith apples jump out of the glass. The wine is so tightly wound that it almost seems light when in fact the wine is a gem in the making. The mid-palate is pronounced with lime, pear, and limestone. There are hints of what is to come with touches of tangerines and honey as the wine lingers and is allowed to interact with the air. The finish might be tight for most as this wine is bone-dry, but it has the calling card of a wine that will be ready in 10 years. It will pair well with oysters on the half shell. – Nicolay
Winemaker Notes: One of the most elegant and delicate white wines in the world grows in this very steep vineyard. The stony, shallow, blue slate soil gives the wine a delicate and fresh acidity as well as a unique elegance. The wines are charming even in their youth, with the scent of white peach and green apple.
