Wine Review: This medium gold colored Riesling from Dr. Loosen opens with a lime, bee’s wax, stone fruit and slight petrol bouquet with hints of papaya and pastry dough. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and round with medium plus acidity. The flavor profile is a ripe green apple and ginger blend with notes of lime and minerality. We also detected hints of papaya, honeydew melon and a touch of grapefruit. The finish is dry and its pleasant acidity and flavors fade away nicely. This Riesling would pair well with a pan-seared lemon pepper walleye, baked Dover sole or cold fried chicken. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A sleek and refined dry Riesling from 100-year-old, ungrafted vines in the red slate soil of the "little staircase" vineyard.
