Wine Review: This almost clear colored Kabinett level wine from Dr. Loosen is very good. It opens with some tiny bubbles that dissipates quickly. The bouquet is grassy and displays hints of ginger, wet slate and honey. On the palate, this light bodied wine comes alive with pleasant elevated acidity and zing. The flavor profile is a tasty mineral and lemon-lime blend with notes of green apple. We also detected hints of ginger and pineapple mixed in as well. The finish is off-dry and fades away nicely. The Panel felt this Riesling would be best with food. Warm brie with blueberry preserves and crusty French bread or Coquilles St. Jacques was suggested. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The famous "sundial" vineyard, in the village of Wehlen, produces the quintessential Mosel Riesling: delicate and refined, with a racy texture and endless charm. The early picked Kabinett is the lightest and most delicate style of German Riesling. Nothing can compare with its elegance and subtlety, as this wine proves with its fine fruitiness and exquisite balance.
