Wine Review: This pale white gold colored Riesling opens with a mild wet stone and tangerine bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, pleasantly sweet and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mild tangerine and iced tea blend with very nicely integrated minerality and lemon. The finish is remains sweet and its flavor drift away nicely. I would have this tasty Riesling with bacon wrapped scallops. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The wines of 2012 are characterized by a stunning purity of fruit and a density of flavor that gives each wine a very clear expression of its terroir. It is a particularly good year for Spatlese, which were harvested with brilliant acidity and at the ideal must weights for each Pradikat (ripeness level). The Erdener Treppchen Spatlese is lush and juicy; solidly built with a bold attack followed by a beguiling, silky texture and a clean, clear finish.
