Wine Review: This white gold colored Riesling opens with a mild grapefruit and apple like bouquet with a hint of wet stone and lime. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, shows bracing acidity, slightly sweet and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tart green apple and clementine blend with notes of minerality throughout. I also detected some lemon flavors as well. The finish is mildly sweet and refreshing with crisp acidity and fruit lingering after the wine is gone. I would pair this Riesling with Chicken lo-mein. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Kabinett is the lightest, most delicate style of Riesling in Germany, produced from the earliest harvested grapes in the best vineyard sites. Because of their moderate alcohol and vibrant, slate-infused acidity, Mosel Riesling Kabinetts are some of the most elegant and subtle wines in the world. This densely packed Dr. Loosen Riesling Kabinett shows both delicacy and strength in its aromatic intensity and concentrated texture.
