Wine Review: This straw colored dry Riesling opens with mild Bosc pear bouquet with a hint of bee’s wax and nectarine. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and crisp. The flavor profile is a mineral infused green apple with notes of white pepper and just a touch of lime. The finish is dry and refreshing. This wine would pair well with pan seared sea scallops with a pear-infused balsamic reduction sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2010 Red Slate Riesling has a dynamic cherry/berry fruit aroma that is pure and piercing. There is a sappy grip on the palate, with a warm spiciness and full body. The intense acidity of the vintage is balanced by a generous stuffing of ripe fruit and excellent length.
