Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Riesling from Dr. Loosen was one of our favorites in our recent blind tasting. It opens with a light lime and gentle Bartlett pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, exquisitely balanced between its fruit and acidity. A couple of panelist thought it displayed a touch of effervescence as well. In addition, they lauded the wines delicate sweetness. The flavor profile is a delicious gentle apricot with a touch of tangerine and pineapple. The finish remains delicately sweet and elegant. The panel suggested pairing this terrific Riesling with Coquilles St. Jacques or bacon wrapped scallops. Enjoy – KWGTP
