Wine Review: This deep salmon colored wine from the Finger Lakes opens with a fragrant pink grapefruit and wild strawberry bouquet with hints of lime zest. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with zesty medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, balanced, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a lime and chalky mineral blend with notes of pink grapefruit, strawberry, and tangerine. We also detected hints of saline and red cherry. The finish is dry and refreshing. This is a perfect summer wine to serve chilled at the beach. I would pair it with chilled shrimp cocktail. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This vibrant pink rosé is energetic with fresh strawberries, passion fruit, hibiscus, orange, and plums. The freshness from the Blaufränkisch is matched with a deep texture and red fruits from the Merlot and Cabernets, producing a wine that can stand up to fattier dishes. Pair with charcuterie, grilled shrimp, grilled sausage, or grilled hotdogs. (Ken's Favorite: Thumann's Signature Natural Casing Pork & Beef Franks.
