Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Finger Lakes opens with a ripe black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black cherry. I also detected hints of strawberry rhubarb and oak. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nightly. This Finger Lake Pinot Noir is a very good value and would pair well with a grilled burgers smothered with sauteed mushrooms with Swiss cheese. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Medium intensity with red fruits dominant characters of sour cherry and strawberry, supported by subtle forest floor, smoke, clove and game notes. The elegant spiciness of the European oak enhances the complexity of this well rounded and long wine. Drink now or cellar until 2017 Roasted game with vegetables, oyster mushrooms.
