Wine Review: This almost clear colored Riesling from Dr. Heyden opens with lots of bubbles. It reminded me of a sparkling wine. Its bouquet is a wet stone and green apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, effervescent and lively. The flavor profile is a mineral infused tart green apple with hints of lime and quinine. The finish is semi-dry and its flavors linger for quite a while. This Riesling would be fun to serve at your summer parties. I would serve it with swordfish kabob. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Made from Kabinett level fruit from a combination of two declassified estate single vineyards near Oppenheim, Frank has the flexibility to create the highest quality wine for the money. The wine itself reflects the best attributes of the region with rich fruitiness, underlying complexity and balanced acidity, all in a drier-style Kabinett.
