Wine Review: This white gold colored Riesling from Dr. Thanisch is very good, but it is sweeter than most Kabinetts. It opens with a mild ginger bouquet. On the palate, this wine is pleasantly sweet, balanced and round. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe pear and honey blend with hints of golden raisin and ginger. The finish remains sweet and its flavors drift away nicely. This Riesling would pair nicely with chicken lo-mein. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The wine shows a pronounced bouquet of very ripe red and yellow fruits with exotic and slightly spicy notes with well-integrated acidity. The slatey minerality so typical of the Mosel adds further complexity. Try this wine with veal, shellfish, roasted poultry or fish.
