Wine Review: This was my first vintage of covering Drew Bledsoe’s wine. I was very impressed. Specifically I covered bottle #8566. It was opaque and very dark purple colored Cabernet opens with a blueberry and black cherry bouquet with a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, balanced, rich and juicy. The flavor profile is a ripe black cherry with notes of plum and a hint of mild old oak and boysenberry. The finish is dry and its medium tannins are nicely prolonged. This wine would pair nicely with n New York Strip Steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep, beautiful ruby color. The nose opens to a bouquet of intense floral aromatics, red and black fruits, cassis, cinnamon, and chocolate, all of which reflect the generous warmth of the 2009 growing season. On the palate, the wine is soft, rich, and driven with ripe fruit and incredibly silky tannins. There is a lovely thread of acidity that runs through this wine that elevates all the other generous components, which will bring a lot of pleasure the next 10+ years!
