Wine Review: This slightly opaque and deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from DoublePlus opens with an old oak, blackberry, and black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The flavor profile is a blackberry and vanilla oak blend with notes of stony minerality. We also picked up some hints of black tea and black cherry. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins stick around for a little while. I would pair this Cab with braised wild boar shanks with sweet soy and star anise. Enjoy – KWGTP
