Wine Review: This light ruby colored Pinot Noir from Carneros opens with a lingonberry and craisin bouquet with hints of red cherry and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and delicate. The flavor profile is a tasty stewed plum and stony minerality blend with notes of gentle oak and lingonberry. I also detected a hint of black cherry. The finish is dry, and its flavors and mild tannins linger for quite a while. I would pair this Pinot with a pork tenderloin with lingonberry sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Medium to deep ruby in color, the 2020 Three Hills Pinot Noir has an exuberant nose of black cherry, cedar, anise, sandstone, wild blueberry, and black currant. The palate shows lighter notes of strawberry and cherry, along with apple pie and sandalwood, finishing long and focused with chewy tannin and minerality. Recommended drinking window is 2023 - 2028.
