Wine Review: This translucent and ruby colored Pinot Noir from Donum opens with an attractive black raspberry, oak, and loam bouquet with hints of black plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel balanced, round and bright. The flavor profile is tart black plum and loam blend with notes of craisin. We also detected some hints of black cherry and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely prolonged. The Panel was happy to enjoy this on its own. With food, we would pair it with duck confit. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby to garnet in color, the 2020 Carneros Pinot Noir shows classic Pinot Noir aromas of black cherry and currant with hints of violet and flint. The palate is brooding with blueberry and blackberry joined by graphite, roasted meat, and olive notes. The finish is rich and concentrated, with cardamom joined by dark fruit flavors. Recommended drinking window is 2023 - 2028.
