Wine Review: This pink colored Rose from Donelan gets the classiest looking bottle award. The wine inside is just as classy. It opens with a gentle watermelon and strawberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and very elegant. The flavors profile is a tasty mild strawberry and gentle red cherry blend. I also detected a touch of oak and watermelon. The finish is dry and gracefully drifts away. If you are looking for a Rose wine that will impress someone, look no further. This one will do the trick. Serve it with light fare and enjoy! Ken
Winemaker Notes: A fresh opening to the 2013 line-up, this rose is made predominately of Grenache. It is light in complexion but shows off an exciting bouquet of pink grapefruit and pomegranate. Minerality and precise acidity give a sophisticated undertone to this otherwise flirty wine.
