Wine Review: This slightly opaque and very dark purple colored Syrah opens with pomegranate, black currant, and red raspberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a mineral infused plum with notes of pomegranate and smoky oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins and flavors are nicely prolonged. This wine is very flavorful and would pair well with a beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: 2010 Cuvee Christine presents a seamless but concentrated Syrah. The wine is built around hilltop Syrah from Windsor Oaks Vineyard, which is complemented with specifically selected barrels of our other sources such as Obsidian, and Walker Vine Hill. Intended to represent quintessential Sonoma Syrah with savory characters, blackberry fruit, and spicy notes layered together. However our pride is also in its balanced, firm mouth feel that entices another sip and another glass…and dare we say another bottle. Please drink with a happy heart and responsibly!
