Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Malbec from Doña Paula opens with a stewed black plum and black olive bouquet with hints of pomegranate, violets, and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, fresh, and bright. The flavor profile is a tart black plum and blackberry blend with notes of oak and craisin. I also detected hints of black pepper and black tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and dusty tannins are extended. This Malbec benefits from some aeration. I would pair it with beef bolognese. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense violet color. In the nose, aromas of black fruits, violets, and spices. Mineral and graphite notes. Great balance and freshness in the mouth, with good concentration and medium structure. Soft tannins and persistent finish.
