Wine Review: This rich four grape red blend from Portugal Is a good value. It is deep garnet in color. I detected ripe dark cherry, tomato leaf, blackberry, chalk and a bit of smoke on the nose. On the palate, it is medium bodied with medium acidity. It is also well balanced, concentrated, smooth, dry and nicely layered. There are flavors of black cherry, cigar box, vanilla and red pepper. I also found some black raspberry, cocoa powder and blueberry. There are moderate fine-grained tannins and a long finish. It would pair well with a char-grilled marinated hanger steak. – Mark
Winemaker Notes: Clear, bright violet color. Complex red berries, with notes of overripe plums. Rich red berry flavor with great persistence. Balanced and well-rounded with a good structure that will allow it to age well.
