Wine Review: Nearly opaque dark purple in color, this red blend of four varietals from the Alentejo region opens with Damson plum and baking chocolate aromas with hints of boysenberry and cassis. The plum characteristics immediately come through on the palate, as do the rest of the ripe black fruit flavors found on the nose. The wine is medium to medium-plus in body, round and balanced with good structure provided by the generous tannins and oak treatment. The finish is dry and slightly herbaceous with traces of dried currant. The flavors stick around for quite a while. – Jeoff
Winemaker Notes: Beautiful, dark ruby color. Very complex mix of ripe raspberries and blackberries. Rich and spicy with red berry flavors, very elegant, silky tannins and very long finish.
