Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Malbec from Mendoza opens with a strawberry and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, rich and smooth. The flavor profile is a ripe blackberry with notes of minerality and oak. I also detected hints of plum and earthiness. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger and lasts for a while. This Malbec is a nice fireplace or tailgate wine. I would pair it with messy ribs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Layers of complexity unfold with ripe notes of blackberry and plum framed by hints of brown spice. Well-structured with round tannins, this wine culminates in a long finish.
