Wine Review: This French white blend contains Roussanne, Viognier and Rolle (aka Vermentino). It is a deep straw color and has ripe pear, crisp apple, vanilla custard and gardenia florals in the bouquet. It has a medium body and medium-plus acidity, making it crisp and refreshing. There are flavors of bosc pear, gravely minerality, lime and some spicy ginger notes. The spiciness lingers in the long dry finish. This is a good value offering and would make a nice accompaniment to some fried oysters. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: We tend to forget that the South of France is capable of producing some of the best white wines in the country. The Herault river brings freshness to the vineyards while the altitude helps to maintain a brilliant acidity. Viognier and Rolle thrive on deep clay-limestone soils, bringing mineral aromas of wet stones and sweet spices.
