Wine Review: This slightly dark red colored Gamay from Domaine de Colonat opens with a faint black plum and light loam bouquet with hints of violet and pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, polished and a bit fresh. The flavor profile is a red raspberry tea and loam blend with notes of mild red plum and dried strawberry. We also detected hints of black tea and red licorice. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Morgon with fresh sliced Norwegian salmon or with a Maguro sushi roll. Enjoy - KWGTP
