Wine Review: This pale gold colored Chardonnay opens with a chamomile tea and Anjou pear bouquet with a hint of pie crust. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is a chalky minerality and Bosc pear blend with notes of almond and green tea. We also detected lemon verbena. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Chard would pair well with pan-fried rainbow trout in butter. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The nose is complex and reveals so much about the personality of the wine. It shows aromas of the minerality, of citrus and of gently toasted fruit. In the mouth, there are the flavors of the characteristic fossiliferous limestone terroir, perfectly balanced with the subtle toasty notes provided by the oak.
