Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Domaine Pavelot opens with a fragrant new cedar closet and hot cinnamon bouquet with hints of black cherry and forest floor. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is cedar influenced pomegranate and loam blend with notes of black tea and marionberry. We also detected hints of smoke, black pepper, and black cherry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, tingly acidity and managed fine tannins stick around for a while. We would pair this Pinot with duck confit. Enjoy – KWGTP
