Wine Review: This deep garnet colored Grenache opens with a black cherry and red currant bouquet with hints of orange peel and new leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is cinnamon and red raspberry blend with notes of dried strawberry and earthy minerality. We also detected some hints of licorice and mocha in the mix. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger and a touch of heat, linger and last for a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Grenache with a grilled lamb chop or with an ahi tuna sashimi.
