Wine Review: This Old World styled Grenache from the Rhone is a very good value. It is ruby colored and opens with a mild red raspberry bouquet with hints of black currant black licorice and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy going. The flavor profile is a tasty oak and mineral influenced black plum. I also detected hints of black licorice and black pepper as well. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are sticky and linger. This wine would pair well with beef bourguignon. This would also be a great glass pour at a fine restaurant or bistro. Enjoy – Ken
