Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Grenache based Chateauneuf Du Pape opens with a black plum and red currant bouquet with hints of wet stone. On the palate, this wine is light bodied and low acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, very smooth and soft. The flavor profile is a mild red plum and red currant blend with notes of crushed stone minerality and white tea. We also detected a hint of cranberry in the mix. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger and last for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Grenache with a blue cheeseburger. Enjoy – KWGTP
